Vahur Kraft named Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

The head of Nordea Bank Estonia Vahur Kraft was named the Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Estonia. Mr Kraft received the letter of credence from Mr Armand Muno from the Luxembourg Embassy in the Czech Republic.

Vahur Kraft said that he feels honoured to receive this position that entails plenty of responsibility. „Luxembourg and Estonia are both small countries. It is important for both of us to find partners in Europe for discussion as well as for action. In today’s ever changing complicated world, cooperation is of extreme importance. Finding the common interests may serve as a benefit for small nations. Luxembourg is small, active, has found its place within the EU and is visible.

Being the Honorary Consul of Luxembourg in Estonia is a great honour for me. I see it mainly as a twofold opportunity – for introducing Luxembourg in Estonia as well as Estonia in Luxembourg. We should also try to make use of Luxembourg’s skills and knowledge. I hope to introduce Luxembourg to Estonians and bring this country closer to them,“ said Kraft. „Cooperation with Luxembourg is happening through the banking sector as well – Nordea Bank also has a representation in Luxembourg,” Kraft added.
