Direct debiting

Direct debiting is the easiest and cheapest way to pay your monthly bills (telephone, electricity, newspaper subscritpion).

Direct Debiting is an agreement concluded between the customer, Nordea Bank and the payment beneficiary for the purpose of making payments for regular invoices on variable amounts.

Why prefer direct debiting?

  • All transactions made by direct debiting are free of charge.

  • You save time and don't have to worry about your monthly bills being paid on time.

Direct debiting information:

  • As usual, you will be presented with an invoice at the beginning of the month.

  • Your responsibility is to check the accuracy of the data on the invoice, and make sure that there are sufficient funds on your current account in Nordea Bank on the payment date.

  • On the date indicated on the invoice, the bank will transfer the amount indicated on the invoice from your account to the beneficiary’s account on the basis of the information presented by the beneficiary.

  • If, for some reason, you do not agree with the amount indicated on the invoice, you have enough time to discuss the matter with the beneficiary.

  • There are over 40 direct debiting partners and the number is growing.

Concluding a direct debiting agreement:

  • In order to make a direct debiting order you need to know the reference number of a certain payment or your customer code

  • Direct debiting agreements will be in effect in the month following the conclusion of the areement.
