Senior customer

When we developed the Nordea customer programme, we thought carefully about our older customers. When you reach 60, it is much easier for you to attain Silver or Gold customer status and enjoy the privileges of that customer level.

When you reach 60, it is much easier for you to attain Silver or Gold customer status and enjoy the privileges of that customer level. To receive the benefits, you will only need to meet the requirements for the total of your loans, deposits and investments.

If you are already in our customer programme, we will keep a record of your age and of how much you use our bank’s services, and we will notify you if you are upgraded to a new customer level.

In order to receive Silver or Gold status discounts as a Senior customer, you only need to fill the requirements set for the total sum of saving and investment products and number of used banking, leasing, pension and/or insurance products.  

  • If you have at least one settlement account at Nordea bank, you use at least one banking, leasing, pension and/or insurance product and you have deposits and/or investments in the total sum of at least 2 000 euros, you will become a Silver customer when you turn 60.

    For example, you have 1 000 euros on your settlement account and you have concluded a term deposit agreement in the sum of 1 000 euros, which means you have met the requirements for number of used banking services and volume of assets.
  • But if you also use at least two banking, leasing, pension and/or insurance products in addition to your settlement account and the total sum of your deposits and/or investments exceeds at least 5 000 euros, we can award you our most valued customer status – Gold customer. Becoming a Gold customer allows you to use the services of a Personal Consultant to organise your finances even better.

    For example, if you have 1 000 euros on your settlement account, you use Nordea Maestro bank card for your daily shopping and in addition, you have concluded a term deposit agreement in the sum of 4 000 euros, then you have the number of bank services and total sum of assets required for Gold customer status.

If you are already in our customer programme, we will keep a record of your age and of how much you use our bank’s services, and we will notify you if you are upgraded to a new customer level.

Tip: it is easier to reach a higher customer level together with your family!

Nordea is currently the only bank to run a family-centred customer programme – joining as a family means Nordea will consider the total savings and investments and used products needed for qualification together for all family members, and the discounts also apply to all family members.

As a Senior customer, reaching Silver or Gold customer status is much easier for you. In order to receive benefits, you only need to fill the requirements set on deposits and total sum of investments and as a Silver customer, use at least 1 and as a Gold customer, at least 2 bank services.

If you have at least one settlement account at Nordea bank, you use at least one banking, leasing, pension and/or insurance products and you have deposits and/or investments in the total sum of a minimum of 2 000 euros, you will become a Siler customer when you turn 60.

But if you also use at least two banking, leasing, pension and/or insurance products in addition to your settlement account and the total sum of your deposits and/or investments exceeds at least 5 000 euros, we can award you our most valued customer status – Gold customer.

If you are already in our customer programme, we will keep a record of your age and of how much you use our bank’s services, and we will notify you if you are upgraded to a new customer level.

Reassignment from one customer level to another is automatic, and is based on how actively you and your family use the Nordea bank services. We also look at the size of your loans, deposits and investments.

Upgrading to Silver or Gold customer status
Your customer status will be upgraded if you meet the requirements for the higher level for two consecutive months.

Downgrading to Silver or Bronze customer status
Your customer status will be downgraded if you fail to meet the requirements for your current customer level for six consecutive months.

In determining the total volume of saving and investment products, the Nordea customer programme proceeds from:

  • the settlement account average monthly balance
  • the investment account average monthly balance
  • the average monthly balance of the term deposit, target deposit and child`s deposit
  • the reserve deposit average monthly balance
  • the end-of-month value of Nordea investment funds` shares in market prices
  • the end-of-month net value of Nordea III pillar supplementary pension fund shares
  • the end-of-month value of single instruments (shares, investment funds)
  • the end-of-month balance of indexed bonds

  • E-invoice standing payment order

In saving, investment and pension:

  • Single instruments (shares, investment fund shares)

We will make sure that when you become a more active customer, then you will automatically move to Silver or Gold customer status and you can enjoy the benefits of the given status.

You can participate in our customer programme with your family members. In that case, we will automatically take into account the level of activity of all family members and if you reach the next level, all benefits will also extend to your entire family.
